Itinerary
IPA itineraries are planned in detail; Sometimes, for operational reasons, climatic, political factors or any other eventuality, it may be necessary to change the sequence of activities in the specified itinerary or route; Such cases are exceptional and we will try to inform you as soon as possible so that you are aware.
Services NOT included
You will be responsible for all administrative procedures such as: Obtaining and updating passports, visas, travel insurance, payment for excess baggage, drinks, laundry service, communication (calls, faxes, emails, etc.), national and international airport departure taxes, gratuities, or other services and fees not specified in the itinerary.
Unused services
Some services may be interrupted or cancelled due to weather conditions, force majeure such as acts of nature, social upheaval, strikes, or others beyond the control of hotels, airlines, or other providers.
No refund will be made as a result of such interruptions or cancellations beyond our control. We will assist you at all times and modify the itinerary for your benefit to the best of our ability, as well as provide you with permanent assistance.
Sales tax exemption on accommodation
Foreign visitors (non-residents in Peru) are exempt from 18% of the IGV (General Sales Tax), on accommodation and food within hotels. Our quotes already include this exemption. The valid documents for exemption are the passport and the Andean migration card. It must have the entry stamp to Peru with a maximum of 60 days prior to the date of entry and during your stay at the hotel.
Insurance
We recommend that you get trip cancellation insurance, repatriation, and international medical insurance to cover any discomfort you may have during your trip. We also suggest you consult your doctor and update your immunization check-ups and review any medical concerns before you set off on your trip.
Air tickets
100% payment must be made for ticketing. Rates are subject to availability and only the final price is guaranteed with the purchase of the ticket. Refunds, allowed/disallowed changes, and penalties applied are based on airline policies. Tickets are non-refundable and non-endorsable in case of cancellation.
Train tickets
100% payment must be made for the issuance of train tickets. Rates are subject to availability and only the final price is guaranteed with the purchase of the ticket. Refunds, allow/disallowed changes, and penalties are based on the policies of the service provider. Refund applies within 72 hours (only applies for business days) prior to the trip with penalty payment in accordance with the company’s policies.
Baggage Liability
We recommend that all passengers arrive in Peru with their own travel insurance, and that they have coverage for lost luggage. IPA cannot be held responsible for:
- Baggage lost or delayed during domestic or international flights.
- Carry-on items, or personal items.
- Objects left by passengers in hotels, vehicles, or places visited during the trip.
We recommend that you do not include valuable items in your checked baggage. Keep in mind that everything of value should remain at hand.
Booking Conditions
Any booking must include the following information for each passenger:

Group Size
Individual or FIT’s: Up to 14 passengers (However, group rates may be granted depending on the number of passengers and the excursions to be made)
Group: 15 a+ (The 16th passenger is considered a FIT)
Payment terms
Full payment is required:
- 35 days prior to the arrival of Individual passengers / FITs.
- 60 days before arrival in case of Groups. The payment term in case of groups may vary

Cancellations and refunds
Requests for cancellations and requests for refunds must be made in writing and including as much information as possible. Cancellation fees
Different cancellation charges apply at different hotels and service providers. Cancellation fees tend to increase when the arrival date is closer. IPA will do its best to keep these expenses to a minimum.
Children’s policy
Discounts will be applied only for children under 8 years old in case of entry to tourist attractions. Hotel discount applies for children under 5 years old sharing bed with parents; This means that no additional beds will be requested for him. Only one child is allowed per room for two people. Additional charges will apply for the child’s breakfast depending on the hotel’s policy.

Terms and Conditions for Excursions
IPA is not responsible for accidents on the road. We will provide you with all the necessary support and assistance to evacuate and treat you; All extra expenses incurred as a result of any type of eventuality or trekking accidents will be covered by you.
Good physical condition is required to do the trekking. The consequences generated by the omission in the information on physical and medical conditions, among others; are your sole responsibility.
Disclaimer
IPA shall not be liable for any injury, death, loss, delay, annoyance, damage to objects of personal use in connection with the provision of any goods or services due to acts of God: illness, government restrictions, acts of civil war, insurrection or rebellion, strikes or other activities, criminals or terrorists of any kind, food poisoning, mechanical failure of the aircraft or other means of transport or its delay in departure or arrival on time.
IPA is not responsible for the error or omission of any supplier (such as accommodation or transport) if the customer makes any bookings on their own account with a service provider other than IPA. The necessary support will be provided according to our competencies. IPA reserves the right to take photographs or record filming of any of its trips, and to use such photographs or film records for promotional and/or commercial purposes.
