National Holidays of Peru
You can always come to Peru at any time of year you want. The tradition and customs of this infinite territory are celebrated throughout the year and we especially highlight these important events in our country:
- On June 24, for example, we celebrate the festival of the Sun (Cusco Day).
- On July 28 and 29, national holidays are celebrated.
- On August 30 we celebrate the day of Saint Rose of Lima.

In Peru we enjoy a rainy and dry season that should be taken into account before booking. Our climate is full of bright suns and fresh breeze in the dry season, without any observation in the outfits, but in the rainy season, especially visitors prioritize according to the date waterproof garments, jackets, gloves, hats and boots or special shoes for trekking, cotton socks to protect themselves from temperate climates up to 3 °.
For the dry season, make sure to pack UV goggles, +50 SPF protector, caps or hats, comfortable pants, cotton t-shirts or blouses, and trekking shoes.
Bilingual Experience
Most of our tourists are English speakers, our tour assistants are prepared to welcome our travelers with comfortable and fluid communication, in their own language. If you are a learner of our Spanish language and want to practice it during your stay and tour, feel comfortable with us, we will always be ready to indicate, correct and translate.

Normally, the packages and day tours that we offer in our agency can be settled in your local currency from your card. For bookings at our point of service with international payment, we only process US dollars.
The local Peruvian currency is the Peruvian Sol (S/ ) in denominations of 10, 20, 50, 100 and 200 for banknotes. And coins of 1, 2 and 5 soles.
It is suggested not to carry a lot of cash during each outing for reasons of convenience, since, thanks to the constant tourist category, in Peru you can access nearby ATMs that will guarantee you cash at all times.
On the routes, the most used and accepted credit card is VISA, although the urban centers have all the offer without restriction for the other cards such as: MASTERCARD, AMERICAN EXPRESS and DINERS CLUB.

In order for you to enjoy any of our packages and/or tours, various means of transportation are available on time and safely for each of the tours. We have modern buses and smaller van-type vans, thermoregulated, spacious, fully certified for tourist activity and passenger transport.

- The voltage of the electric current in Peru is 220 Volts and the frequency is 60 Hz for electrical connections.
- If there is one thing Peru has, it is a sublime gastronomy and this is one of the reasons why it is especially visited. With the coastal cuisine, you can delight yourself with exquisite fish and seafood ceviches. In the popular Andean cuisine, tubers play a special role. And the cuisine of the jungle offers succulent meats and a native banana dough, popularly known as ‘tacacho’. To get to know Peru is to delight yourself with an endless number of dishes and delicacies, more than exotic, ancestral and nutritious, it is only here that you can ever taste.
- Avoid taking pictures at airports, police stations, and museums where you are explicitly advised to store your camera.
- Be careful and help us preserve our flora and fauna, the illegal trafficking of endemic species of birds, mammals, plants and flowers, intentionally or extracted from their habitat can lead to legal and disciplinary sanctions.
- Do not try to take or extract pieces of cultural heritage, either for souvenir purposes; The laws of our country are very strict regarding the traffic and/or commercialization of these or other pieces that require academic endorsement and/or special customs licenses. Unless these replicas are acquired in regulated sites and these are endorsed by the Ministry of Tourism.
- The use and possession of psychoactive substances is improper, it is monitored and will be sanctioned by the authorities in our country, and in the same terms, human trafficking and child sex tourism. The repercussions are dictated by laws 29408, 30963 and 30802, approved by the Supreme Decree of MINCETUR 003-2010 on the rights of lodging and responsible tourism that protect children and adolescents from child abuse and exploitation (See detail).
